The UMK Information Portal was established in 2020 as a platform for presenting the scientific potential of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and current news from the life of the university. From the very beginning, it has featured materials presenting the scientific achievements of UMK researchers, as well as current information about the community’s successes, the most important events, and initiatives carried out at the university.
One of the elements of the Portal’s management was regular research into user activity using web analytics tools. In 2024, additional research was conducted using a diagnostic survey method.
The presentation aims to present the characteristics of active users of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Information Portal in a demographic context, as well as their preferences related to the use of the Portal and their information needs.
