The Institute of Information Sciences of the University of the National Education Commission invites you to participate in the 5th edition of the conference Information Architecture as an Academic Discipline – “Information visualisation – structures, tools, interpretations”.
Where, when and for whom?
University of the Commission of National Education in Krakow
June 11-12, 2026.
We invite:
- representatives of academic institutes and centres offering courses, specialisations and programmes in information architecture, usability, visual communication and information design, including user experience (UX) design,
- experts in information visualisation, specialists in data visualisation, graphic designers and data researchers,
- representatives of companies designing UX/HCI websites and information systems, employees of interactive agencies and start-up creators,
- undergraduate and postgraduate students in fields related to the conference topics,
- as well as anyone interested in the theory and practice of information visualisation.
Please note: The conference will also be available online!
Subject matter
- research in the field of information architecture, information visualisation and UX,
- visual perception of information, semiotics and cognitive determinants of information reception,
- visual storytelling and data-driven narratives,
- visualisation tools in information and search systems,
- artificial intelligence in the generation and interpretation of visualisations,
- information accessibility and inclusive design,
- user behaviour and user experience,
- design and analytical skills of an information architect,
- teaching information architecture, with particular emphasis on visual communication.
We also encourage you to submit abstracts and posters/infographics on other topics related to information visualisation and information space design.

Dates:
- Submission of proposals for speeches and posters: May 10, 2026
- Information on approval of the speech: May 21, 2026
- Registration for participation in the conference and payment of the conference fee: May 31, 2026
