The talk will present the results of a study related to the information architecture of websites. The aim of the study was to find out whether the basic tenets of AI are implemented on university library websites. The library websites of all twenty universities participating in last year’s 'Initiative of Excellence – Research University’ competition were queried. The portals of these libraries were checked for content organisation (schema, structure), labelling, navigation and search; the study also considered the following issues: the content and graphics of the sites, and their consistency with the visual identity of the parent universities’ portals.
W wystąpieniu zaprezentowane zostaną wyniki badań związanych z architekturą informacji stron internetowych. Celem badania było sprawdzenie, czy podstawowe założenia AI są realizowane na stronach bibliotek uczelnianych. Kwerendzie poddano witryny biblioteczne wszystkich dwudziestu uczelni biorących udział w zeszłorocznym konkursie „Inicjatywa doskonałości – uczelnia badawcza”. Portale tych bibliotek sprawdzone zostały pod kątem organizacji treści (schemat, struktura), etykietowania, nawigacji i wyszukiwania; w badaniu uwzględniono także kwestie: zawartości merytorycznej i grafiki witryn oraz ich spójności z wizualną identyfikacją portali macierzystych uczelni.
