Information Design in Science – Communicating Scientific Research Using Infographics in the “Nature” Magazine

How do explanatory graphics and data visualizations support scientific communication in a scientific journal? Using selected examples, we will present the design process and the decisions made by our team that help transform complex information into clear, understandable, and reliable explanations. Particular emphasis is placed on design principles, as well as on the role of design as a tool for interpretation rather than mere decoration of scientific research results.
